After 309 days, Barack Obama will finally venture out to face the national media in an open press conference today at 12:45 ET. The topic will be the Gulf oil spill, and the reporters will certainly have plenty to ask about the federal government’s response to it. That doesn’t mean that they will stick to just that one topic, however.
